Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sunset Core is a core-based, high-intensity, low-impact workout performed on specialized machines that target slow-twitch muscle fibers. Targeting these muscles will strengthen and sculpt your entire body. This is not traditional Pilates; however, it draws from similar principles by engaging the entire body through slow, steady movements, resistance training, and breathwork. Our instructors will guide you through the exercises and inspire you to push further, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of what your body needs, how it feels, and how to strengthen it in ways you haven’t before. Our classes provide the opportunity to improve core strength, flexibility, posture, energy, and overall muscle health and development, giving you an incredible, transformative full-body workout!

  • Absolutely! Sunset Core is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels, including those new to Pilates or machine-based workouts. Our small class size (max 9 people) allow instructors to give personalized attention, including modifications and corrections to ensure you feel safe and supported throughout the class.

  • New members should arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of class. This gives us time to familiarize you with the equipment and answer any questions you might have. We want to make sure you feel confident to start your workout!

  • Grip socks are required for all classes. In addition, we recommend you bring a small workout towel and a water bottle to stay hydrated during class. If you forget your grip socks, you can purchase a pair at the studio before class starts.

  • Sunset Core does not offer on-site parking. Please do not park in the underground garage, as we only have two dedicated spots which are reserved for our instructors. However, there is ample free 2-hour street parking on 31st Street and 32nd Street, as well as metered parking on Ocean Park Blvd. and across on 31st Street. Please be mindful of street sweeping hours to avoid parking tickets.

  • We have a strict 12-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance to avoid a fee and/or forfeiture of classes. The exact fee will depend on your membership or class package, so please refer to our Studio Policies page for more details. It’s your responsibility to review and understand our cancellation policy to avoid any charges and/or forfeiture of classes.

  • We offer a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after class begins, you will not be admitted, and a no-show fee will apply. This policy ensures the safety and enjoyment of the class for all participants.

  • If you experience any issues with bookings made through ClassPass, GymPass, or any other third-party provider, please contact their respective customer support teams directly. Sunset Core is unable to modify or resolve any booking issues related to third-party reservations. Please note that all third-party bookings are still subject to Sunset Core’s 12-hour cancellation policy.

  • All sales are final. Purchases, including private and semi-private sessions, class packs, memberships, and merchandise are non-refundable. There are no exceptions to this policy.

  • While we love kids (we’re moms ourselves!), we do not allow children to attend or accompany you to class. For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no children are permitted in the studio during class time.

  • We understand that life gets busy, but we ask that you refrain from using your phone during class to avoid distractions. Please silence your phone and keep it tucked away while in the studio. Feel free to snap some inspiration photos before or after class and share them on Instagram—just make sure to tag us @sunsetcorela.
